  THE EAST COAST EAGLES will conducting tryouts for its 2012 Baseball Teams in September for the following Age Groups  10U to 17U on the following Dates: 

 Saturday Sept 10th

 Sunday September 11th

 Saturday Sept. 17th 

Sunday Sept 18th. 

Tryout Times for each date are:

17's, 16's and 15's   9am to 10:30am

14's   10:30am to 12 noon

13's   12noon to 1:30 pm

12's   9am to 10:30 am

10U and 11's   10:30 to 12 noon.  

You will need to attend at least one tryout.

You will need to preregister for the tryouts.

For Team Rentals and Batting Cage Rentals:                Reserve Your Time  Now as Space is Limited .

Individual Memberships- for  batting cage, pitching mound and fielding area for 1 or 1 1/2 hrs per week.

Our newly renovated and updated 30,000 sq ft facility contains:

7 Batting Cages,  three 70ft tunnels and four  55ft tunnels to allow for live hitting and pitching for High School and Little League players.

40 by 100 ft Turf Felding and Long Toss Throwing Area

Multiple Hitting Stations, Iron Mike Machine, Jugs and Atec Pitching Machines

3 Pitching Mounds and  2 Clay Dirt Indoor Bullpen Mounds ( only dirt mounds in the area),             Indoor Running Track

Weight Training and Strength/Speed and Conditioning Section

 Play Ball Baseball Camp will begin Mon and Wed nights starting Jan 10th and will run for 6 weeks for $119.00 .

High School Baseball Conditioning Program  continues 3x per week, Tues/Thurs from 7:30 to 9pm and Sat 12:30 to 2pm. Open to all players to prepare for the upcoming season/tryouts.  Program consists of Strength training, speed and conditioning, long toss throwing  and batting cage/pitching mound time.  Program begins in November.  Email to sign up for this program.

Mike Bruemmel

Mike Bruemmel played at Brockton High School during the 1984 and 1985 seasons. During the summer of 1984,Mike played Post 35 Legion Baseball and was named as co-winner of the Brockton Invitational Best Pitcher Award along with former Major Leaguer, Mike Remlinger. During the summer of 1985, Mike played for the East Baseball Team at the United States Olympic Festival at LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Mike attended the University of Maine from fall 1985 to spring 1988. After the '88 season, he required major arm surgery to repair rotator cuff and labrum tears. He recovered quickly and transferred to Bridgewater State College in the fall of '88. He played for BSC for both the 1989 and 1990 seasons - tying the school record for most regular season wins with 8. In 1990, he was named as 1st team MASCAC Pitcher as well as named to the 1st Team All New England All Star TeamMike received his Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology from BSC and turned his focus to arm rehabilitation and sports conditioning. He is currently a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. 

Mike remains heavily involved with baseball to this day - he is the Director of Peak Performance Baseball Training and the Director of the East Coast Eagles Baseball program. He has worked with numerous athletes over the past 7 years at all levels - from Little Leaguers to Major Leaguers.  He resides in Bridgewater and has been serving as a board member for the Bridgewater Little League for the past 5 years. He has been actively coaching youth and amateur baseball teams for over 10 years. Mike's area of expertise is physical training and development of baseball players utilizing strength and conditioning and proper pitching mechanics augmented with his medical background and playing experiences.


Glenn Tufts

Glenn Tufts resides in Bridgewater. Mass. and played at Bridgewater-Raynham High School. He was a 1st round Major League draft pick in 1973 -  5th player selected overall. He was drafted with the likes of Dave Winfield and Robin Yount - both of whom became Cooperstown Hall of Famers. Glenn played up to Triple AAA Level with the Cleveland Indians before his career was cut short due to injuries.  Upon his playing retirement, Glenn began a long tenure in the coaching arena  starting with area High School baseball teams. In 1983, he began coaching collegiately at Bridgewater State College. He quickly turned the program into a top notch area baseball power with numerous NCAA tournament appearances. Many of his players were signed to professional baseball contracts.  

Subsequently, Glenn began coaching at the pro level. He joined the San Francisco Giants organization as a head coach at Single A level, moved up to head coach at the Double A level and finally finished his pro coaching career as a AAA hitting instructor.  At this point, Glenn switched from coaching to scouting - taking over as the Giants' Northeast Regional Scout for well over ten years.  In addition to all this, Glenn also has been running the Play Ball Baseball Camps for over 30 years and operates The Glenn Tufts Baseball Training and Development Center in West Bridgewater.  

Glenn’s past experiences and baseball knowledge gives our Eagle players unparalleled, top notch instruction and insight to the game of baseball. 


Mike Torres

Mike Torres is from Brooklyn, New York and played college baseball at Lamar University in Texas.  During that time, he was an All Conference shortstop for four years and, during the summer of his junior/senior year, he was on the Team USA Developmental Team in Bradenton, Florida.  After his senior year at Lamar, Mike was invited to spring training with the New York Mets.  He then played Winter Baseball and participated in the Caribbean World Series for the Mayaques Indians alongside numerous players from the Major Leagues.  

Mike has played professionally for the North Shore Spirit,  Brockton Rox and the Nashua Pride.  During this time. Mike's versatility has enabled him to play every position on the field. He instructs and coaches the East Coast Eagle players during the off season and provides individual private instruction at the Glenn Tufts Play Ball Baseball Camps year round.   

Mike's experiences with playing all positions as a pro enables him to give unlimited insight and expertise when helping to develop area amateur baseball players.
